Ep.192 – Dick Tracy No. 3 (1990)
Dick Tracy and the Case of Al Pacino's Overacting
This time on the Couch: Mike, James, and Shée use their two-way wrist radios to talk about Dick Tracy issue 3, until they remember that Zoom exists! A faithful adaptation of the 1990 Warren Beatty film, Dick Tracy follows the square-jawed lawman as he battles gangsters with severe dermatological issue, corrupt politicians, and a lusty, in-her-prime Madonna! As if he wasn't busy enough already, Tracy is forced to balance his quest to clean up the city with having to babysit a homeless kid who ends up following him around until he just kinda... becomes adopted. That might not seem like how adoption works, but let's not forget that back in Tracy's day society had only just started bothering to write down people's birthdays. Child Protective Services was not high on the list of old-timey priorities.
