Ep.205 – What If... Vol. 2, No. 9 (1990)

This time on the Couch: Mike, James, and Shée wring the tears out of their fur after reading What If... no. 9! In a wacky alternate universe where actions have consequences, Professor Xavier manages to get all of the gullible suckers who signed up for his whole "X-Men" scam killed on their very first mission! All except for Beast, who's left his sweet "no-pants-required" gig at the Avengers to push a mopey Xavier around his X-Mansion/tax shelter for the rest of their lives. Things are going about as well as you'd expect, until a global threat forces Xavier to put together a new, equally inexperienced team! I'm sure it'll be fine: They say after you've gotten a dozen or so people killed you really start to find your footing.
